About Andrew Hembd
Andrew is an artist originally from Iowa that had resided in Colorado from 2002 to 2022. He graduated from Colorado State University in the Fall of 2012 with a BFA in painting. While living in Fort Collins, he displayed and sold art in local businesses, galleries, craft shows, and through social media. He mainly focuses on painting people and animals. He thrives on getting their likeness and personalities to come through in his work. He also enjoys creating murals and participating in ‘live painting’ events. He is currently in the MFA Painting program at the University of South Dakota. Art has always been a huge part of his life and he is grateful to be able to create and share his work.
